@swiggo-jiggo It's on their list, however, don't hold your breath. Much easier to roll your own.

Use the default local backup, which you can then FTPS where ever you like.

No need to wait.

@swiggo-jiggo You can do this with the rsync backup option to a local file system and then use rclone or restic & rclone to push backups to an SFTP.

I'm sure I wrote this elsewhere, but be great if alls that aren't currently being backed up can have things done with them in the meantime, restarts, repairs, updates, etc.

@marcusquinn - yes, a huge vote for that. I think this was referenced before in a feature request too if I recall correctly. It is very annoying when I need to quickly restart an app and my system backup happens to be running preventing me from doing a quick task. I usually just get around this by backing up in the middle of the night but sometimes I want to also do a system backup in the afternoon but on my system it takes nearly 1.5 hours for a backup to complete so then in that time I’m forbidden from restarting an app for example which is quite annoying. Would love to see multi tasking for that.

Sorry I'm sure this has been discussed but has the plan been dropped to have a unified dashboard across several instances?

allow for subvolume-level app-install (maybe via hook-scripts) on btrfs or zfs, so one can make subvolume-level incremental backus, which would be a massive timesaver and SOTA solution.

Sorry for a small confusion: we have made a 8.1 available as unstable now to fix many of the regressions in 8.0. We could not make it a patch release of 8.0 because it also introduces some features like OIDC groups, Gandi PAT support, Hetzner Object Storage etc. Nothing major but we are still forced by semver to make a "feature" release and thus 8.1

I have added a mechanism to skip running du . The code now looks for a /home/yellowtent/platformdata/diskusage/exclude file. This file can contain one filesystem (as listed in the first column of df output) per line. du for these filesystems is skipped.

Implemented in https://git.cloudron.io/platform/box/-/commit/872705d58d3146ec6b6a5ac5aed6adbe9e245ab9 . The Cloudron name is used as the OIDC provider name as well. The apps will be adjusted one by one to make use of this new environment variable CLOUDRON_OIDC_PROVIDER_NAME

We will re-evaluate this in some future release. For the moment, this is out of scope. It's too complicated to implement a VM like system that allow readwrite containers and further allow users to define backup directories, services, exposed ports etc. We will stick to pre-packaged apps for the moment.
