Feature Request: multi domain support for email accounts
-
thanks @girish and @msbt for chiming in here. I cant see rainloop settings that support a single inbox over multi domains (but i do see how you can setup two or more accounts and simply switch between accounts)
the feature in G SUITE i am aiming to reproduce here, is to have one inbox, that multiple domains are associated with, so emails to any of the domains end up in the single inbox, and upon reply, i can choose which email to reply with. In G Suite you add domains to the domain list, then under the user you can setup an email alias that span across any domain in your domain list. this is why i originly figured this was a feature that maybe cloudron would offer, but i see your point that maybe this is app level feature (just not seeing that feature in either rainloop or sogo, will try nextcloud now)

@chris roundcube has this feature, but unlike when adding an identify in G Suite, it doesn't prompt for SMTP details when adding a new identify (in Settings -> Identities) and so when you actually try to send you get an error like this:
I wonder if it is possible to get this working on Cloudron? I guess for starters perhaps uniteddiversity.coop would have to have Cloudron Email Server enabled (it doesn't at present).

In theory, you can install the Plugin https://plugins.roundcube.net/packages/elm/identity_smtp, see https://cloudron.io/documentation/apps/roundcube/#plugins for details how to enable the plugin.
You then get individal SMTP settings for each identity:
However, I can't get it to send over the individial smtp set up for my identity (smtp.mailbox.org, Port 465, using SSL/TLS security). When I click on "send", I see a "message is sending" windows which disappears after a while. Nothing in the logs' either. @girish @nebulon Can you help`?

Stupid me: as can be seen in the screenshot, you have to add a
ssl://
in front of your server address is the connection is encrypted. Now it works! -

@girish can this be a default plugin for rainloop?
The plugin was for Roundcube, not Rainloop (these two sound very similar, though...)
