Some notes on aclStrictMode. It was removed in this upstream issue. Checking Check /app/data/data/config.php in the File manager and search for aclStrictMode. If it's set to false, it means it's disabled and you must migrate to using proper access control/roles in Espo. Roughly, you can do this as follows: Administration -> Roles. Create a role called say users and give it all permissions. Ours is configure like this: [image: 1635309162817-2385a68b-1314-4940-af85-e51e844ffdfc-image-resized.png] Administration -> Teams. Create a team called everyone and then give the users role. You can also add users into the team in the Teams page. @nebulon Never say never! We wouldn't be jumping through all these obstacles if it weren't that we are forced to for lack of practical alternatives. These are very valuable solutions for everyone to have both reliable and debuggable apps, and LDAP across multiple servers where one server stack cannot fulfil needs.

Also running a moderately large EspoCRM instance here, plus some more hobby-scale ones, and agree with all the points made so far. Generally, I'm a fan. The Advanced pack and VoIP extensions have been good additions and I've not had any issues with the company behind EspoCRM either. Just works, admittedly with a bit of learning curve to administer, perhaps, as has been mentioned, but a lot of that is down to the customizations available. Documentation is only okay for most things, in my opinion. Overall, I'd recommend it

@girish Figured it out, needed the password from environment variables but couldn't find any inspiration for that in the docs, so maybe there's a natural place for that to make it obvious?

@vladimir-d Still need to see errors printing to logs when it does still occasionally happen. Let's keep this thread open for solving that.

Ha ! Just discovered that in EspoCRM Administration section, you can switch authentication settings to use Espo not LDAP. Solved ! I hope.

@girish Yeah, I'm blowing up that forum too There's a few power users and devs there but it is relatively quiet. I just need a GitLab.com ID from anyone wanting access. I've not made it public as I wouldn't have time to keep up with those obligations yet. It is all "production ready", and used on 3 live instances now. But I'm also evolving it fast, so anyone wanting to use in production would just need to get familiar with it first so they know what to expect is already done and what is still to do.

@imc67 there were a couple of upstream releases shortly after each other, and we don't skip package updates, so you had to go through them one-by-one.

@girish Thanks, that's a reasonable workaround. I think we might have luck with DBeaver, although I still need to try that personally. I agree that most apps probably shouldn't have DB add-on apps, but as I get more into Espo I can see legitimate use-cases for it. I'll share more on my work with it too as I think it would all be valuable to the community and potentially yourselves if you like it too.

@girish Nice, didn't know that but handy! I think if using other multi-subdomain apps like WP Multi-Site on the same Cloudron it could get confused but agree, that's a simpler way if only using one of them. Thanks

@nebulon Cool, it's a brilliant piece of the puzzle already, so the date columns are just icing on a cherry cake To be clear, I dragged and dropped an already unzipped folder that resulted in what you see above. Your download a folder as a .zip and upload a .zip and unpack already seems to work very well! If you want to put candles on the cake too: a left-column to tick multiple things, or some other multi-select method would be handy!

@robi Dark Reader works better for me than most Dark Modes so I just use that on everything nowadays and have no idea if things have a dark mode themselves because they always do for me

Hi, this is not our main problem. Today we restartet and espocrm came up with the server. Our problem is that espocrm stops responding. We got a red Timeout message in the espocrm UI. Using supervisorctl restart web in the Terminal resolves the problem. I will open an extra THread for this.
