While public access instances are declining to zero due to changes at Twitter, there is still a way to run a private instance. This would be useful for Cloudron as a one click solution if the greater Nitter community was made aware. Just out of interest I went to see if there were any other actively maintained forks... But what I found at https://github.com/mozilla/send/forks?include=active&page=1&period=2y&sort_by=last_updated was very confusing.
