    @fbartels 😉

    Yeah, common problem for minimal app installs.

    Container images are a good source of precompiled binaries and libs, so if you know how to pick those out of the images, that can be a light recipe.

    Statically compiled binaries are a bit much, however separating the /bin/ dirs into persistent layers would also work.

    @vladimir-d nice work! Thank you.

    If you can, join us for the upcoming packaging events where your knowledge can be shared. (Or host your own!)

    There one can learn how to overcome the current issues and more.

    The next steps of polishing a new app ready for testing and packaging on Cloudron will be a good learning experience too, for folks who have found their way this far.

    @turian what do you think. Is it possible to integrate it into workflows like ... upload a PDF into paperless, then into pd3f, back to paperless? Or similar with nextcloud or cubby? Upload and copy & paste from pdf3 into other apps feels wrong 🙂

    @ffs123 Great request! There are several Docker images available. Restreamer is built on Docker, and there are images for RaspberryPi and Odroid!

    Works with OBS (Open Broadcast Studio).

    I hope somebody gives this a try and lets us know how it goes!

    On a somewhat related note, can anybody suggest a Cloudron host which is good value if you would like to stream a large quantity data each month?

    @chris yes could be useful
    Worth noting that Coolify have done this
    In case a self-hosted DB in a PaaS is needed before it is available here on Cloudron

    @perler said in support "featured" nextcloud apps:

    I think as @WiseMetalhead that these featured apps are fairly stable

    In fact, I've been using a fairly large set of apps (Music, Notes, Tasks, Calendar, Forms, etc.) for about a year now, but haven't experienced any problems, including major updates. But it's worth mentioning that all of this is far from a statistic, and maybe I'm just lucky 🙂

    Looks like it's matured a lot over the years since we first used this many years ago, nice clean and modern interface — the Studio is excellent and available in self-hosted (with a Pro licence, unlike Odoo where it's only available with their SaaS).

    Docker install:

    https://groupoffice.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install/docker.html

    TBH, the way they are offering everything installed open-source, with a 60-day trial of pro features — and relatively affordable for a business licence to respect the costs of support and evolving — it seems to be a fair and sustainable way to conduct open-source business — that seems to have resulted in a good looking, regularly updated, documented, supported, and sustainable product.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    from me

    Now, it only stands a chance of packaging if someone here is interested and motivated. Anyone?

    Seems not to be in active development anymore.

    @Sam_uk take a look at Freescout in the Cloudron App Store 🙂
