As of August 2024, it looks like notesnook now has a sync server that can be self-hosted.

According to their roadmap, they've completed 3 of 4 steps to allow self-hosting, although the fourth is 'just' documentation.

The last time I tried notesnook I thought the interface was great. Would love to try it with a self hosted sync server.

If you go to Services -> redis -> restart the redis there. Then try to update the app to atleast package 1.5.0 and let us know how that goes.

@xaddison the prune is done automatically when needed in the code. Most likely the containers that got removed are the ones that were "stopped". Cloudron runs cron jobs of apps in containers, for example. They will be in stopped state after finishing a run but will be reused in the next run. As for images, not sure what it cleaned up. Do you have the output of what it removed?

I'm going to move the image location to an external volume for the time being.

It looks like the last docker pull command of the previous test ate some space. Could you guys please tell me how I would clean up the remaining cruft? 😬

Reporting back that it was installed successfully after changing the image location to an external volume offering enough disk space.

@nebulon hmmm yeah I could see the potential for extra work, but as long as the css for the ldap plugin doesn't change too much I'd imagine it would a "build it once and forget about it" situation.

That said, adding the option to disable the ldap UI for non-admins is a no-brainer I'm sure for Nextcloud programmers.

That is totally possible, just make sure to transfer the admin status over to another account first.

@ctrl Cloudron package uses apache + mod_php. The high CPU load issue is probably because of something else.

@marcusquinn since it's an oauth based thing, it means other can be easily added, and that Cloudron could use it's own oauth service that connects to its LDAP.

I know people who use https://easyretro.io/ too (previously Fun Retro) who might be tempted to switch to something like Retrospected if they could self-host...

Agreed. They all look pretty useful, but this one certainly seems to have had the most investment and development.

I think this could be a very interesting feature, eg. to isolate personal apps from other domains and apps...

Also, this feature allow to do a good workload plan setting up different VPS.
