@scooke I wanted to clarify my concern about this issue. Previously, after a system reboot was completed, the "reboot" button in notification would automatically fade to grey and disable the reboot button. This functionality appears to have changed (button remains clickable and red). The color difference you mentioned wasn't actually my concern. At this point, I understand this is the new expected behavior, so I consider this matter resolved.

We are reworking the notification UI for Cloudron 9 at the moment and the reboot required hint will be fixed accordingly there. It has caused quite a few misunderstandings in the past as it currently is

@jdaviescoates ah ok, this might be some issue on the VPS side. On a side note our dedi in Hetzner has many networking issues. Not sure what is going on...

@girish I am starting to think that it is the modem but being on my second one of the same model. You don't think it is my setup at all? I am curious about if my setup needs to be tweaked in anyway.

@SirFiChi said in Server not available after reboot: I hope my system has now no lasting damage by apt-get update/upgrade/dist-upgrade and "apt autoremove". I hope so too but to be sure you can make a backup and restore on a fresh and clean installed Ubuntu 20.04 (or whatever you're currently using). Just make sure to restore to the same OS and Cloudron version and you should be fine. There are also guides what to do after a (planned) dist-upgrade so maybe check them out.

@girish Seemed like maybe Ubuntu was finishing some updates on boot which was blocking ssh from starting. I was pinging on 80 and 443 ports but ssh wasn't responding on 22 or 202 for a while.

Funny, I just noticed this as well the other day but I figured it was just me because I'm running macOS beta so thought the new Safari overhaul killed something. haha. Glad to know it's a known issue and already fixed for the next release.
