@girish I am starting to think that it is the modem but being on my second one of the same model. You don't think it is my setup at all? I am curious about if my setup needs to be tweaked in anyway.

My Jellyfin setup is as follows

• Mac Pro (1,1) 2006
• Intel Processor (1st Gen Intel MacPro)
• 4 gigs of Ram
• Nvida Graphics Card Ge???
• 2008 720p 17' Acer Monitor
• Current Linux Ubuntu (KDE Edition)
• 1x 500 GB HDD for OS, Jellyfin, Cloudron, Personal Backups from Other Computers and Jellyfin Backups
• 1x 350 GB for Movies
• 1x 4 TB for TV Shows
• 1x 4 TV for Movies, TV Shows, Music, Music Videos & Concerts
• 2x Ethernet Ports one of which is wired into the modem/router

Now, cloudron.io is a software that helps automate the jellyfin so that I can have it on a docker & domain *****.matthewdykstra.xyz.

I use cloudflare as my DNS & SSL so that it is at https:// and my home IP address is masked if you go to traceroute or ping ****.matthewdykstra.xyz

My modem/router is a Hitron with Teksavvy Cable Internet Service. My server can handle 4 users at a time.

All of the Media available to Jellyfin is converted with Handbrake for macOS Big Sur in H264 MP4. My music is always at 128 CD Quality MP3.

Just a note that if you use playlists for music, favourite episodes etc.. some of them will not randomize in the jellyfin app for Amazon Firestick. A lot has to do with my older lists but some new ones I made this year alone will not randomize.

however, all the lists will play in order or use play from here.

My Jellyfin server runs great for a while but then all of a sudden the show I am watching freezes and will not play.

Sometimes I am able to back out and wait for a second and it will show me under the continue button where I left off ex 17:33

Most times it will just not do anything at all and then I reboot my modem (Hitron on Teksavvy ISP) and then jellyfin comes back online and works fine for a bit

There are nights I have to reboot my modem 3-4 times to watch a show or movie. How do I fix this?

Okay after hours of work I got it back to using my old domain but it is in a setupdns.html loop now even when I go to my.matthewdykstra.xyz/#/apps it reverts back

@humptydumpty Yes you need a record for the bare domain

If you are using cloudflare you need to add

A domain.com ipaddress (127.0.0.1)

Then add a cname record fpr www
Cname @ domain.com

that should help you fix the issue.

I am having trouble changing the domain in my cloudron server I want to change it from matthewdykstra.xyz to mjsiebolt.pro and it is not letting me do that.

I have cloudflare dns services I have gone through the control panel to change the url but now I get when i go to the old domain my.matthewdykstra.xyz it starts the setup all over again and ends up at https://my.mjsiebolt.pro/setup.html

And that is where firefox for MacOS Big Sur Gets this Message

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to my.mjsiebolt.pro.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

How do Fix This Issue? I have deleted all cookies and cache and even went to the server directly to setup the cloudron.io with the new domain in FireFox for Linux Ubuntu

Necessary to start jellyfin? It takes so long on my server from boot to when jellyfin finally loads it takes 40 min. Is there any way to remove that?

@girish I just tried a free VPN service and the domain loaded but on the other computer without a VPN it did not load so I am thinking it is a problem with my ISP. I'll let you know how I make out with it.

• added one 500 gig boot/linux Kubuntu/cloudron.io with Jellyfin drive.
• I added a 350gb drive for Movies,
• A 4tb drive for TV Shows
• A 4tb drive for a mix of Movies, TV Shows, and Music
• A 500 gig external drive for anything
• Added A Nvidia Card with Cooling Fan I got for Free

With the Cloudron.io software (That Only Runs on Ubuntu), I was able to install jellyfin media server and put it on two domains https://matthewdykstra.xyz and https://bigbrother.house

I have been running it on a HiTron Cable Modem from Teksavvy ISP
With An Internet Package of

• 300Mbps Down
• 20Mbps Up
• Cost Per Month $129.51 Canadian

I have been running the server for almost a year and only had one crash from the Factory installed 350 gig boot drive from Apple and that's when I added the 500gig drive as boot and re-installed Kubuntu

This setup can support 5 users on the server streaming TV Shows, Movies or Audio Files at a time.

@girish I am on Teksavvy Cable Internet and the problem I am having is that it will not load for me at all What you have right now is correct only because I cannot access it on my MacBook Pro or MacBook Air on my setup. I did set it up through the domains section of my.matthewdykstra.xyz but when I access it in Chrome, FireFox and Safari on macOS Big Sur on my MBA and Sierra on my MBP

So what do I do to be able to access it on my home network?

I have a jellyfin server using cloudron at https://matthewdykstra.xyz and I added a second domain https://bigbrother.house I want to make that my primary domain but the domain will not load https://my.bigbrother.house and for jellyfin https://bigbrother.house how do I fix it?

I have already added and removed the domain 4 times.
The domain is using Cloudflare DNS service like my primary domain

so why is it that this domain currently added to the server not load https://www.bigbrother.house or https://bigbrother.house

@BrutalBirdie i figured out the issue it was Cloudflare so now I can use the sever anywhere thank you for all your help

@BrutalBirdie So I got the server up and running but now I cannot connect to the server via https like I did before I had to redo the entire server. non of the jellyfin apps will connect to my server except the desktop app. How do I fix this? Is this a cloudron thing? Because when it installed jellyfin the last time this was working this way

@BrutalBirdie So I have to copy the backup back to the drive with cloudron?

@girish I do have a backup my server has two 4TB hds and a 500GB boot with an extra 250 for films it was just I made the upgrade and that's when things went to hell. I Moved a Copy of the latest backup to my non-boot drive and saved it. I will keep in mind that you have that setup into the server and I will not do anymore upgrades.

@BrutalBirdie I do get that message when I login in but this was on the desktop and so I upgraded to keep my server most secure.. I have been malwared before at work but now I cannot get into cloudron at all if you go to the server on the internal ip from the modem/router it says that nginx is up and running but how to I get it to point back to the cloudron?

I got a message from Ubuntu to upgrade to 21.10 and so I did and now cloudron will not load my jellyfin or my https://my.matthewdykstra.xyz and so I need to get it up and running again.
