@LoudLemur I use the smallest VPS with SSD (Cloud VPS S). For my small family (e.g. for using Nextcloud and Vaultwarden) this is more than sufficient, at least for my needs.

With the large tier of oracle, it should be great instance to start with cloudron https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/FreeTier/freetier_topic-Always_Free_Resources.htm it's not big drive with 20GB, but 24gb ram and 4 cores. it is a real great start for a user to test and evaluate cloudron use cases before a comercial usage

@BrutalBirdie Thanks for your reply. I will use the whole server just for myself. One Nextcloud user, one Mastodon user, etc I will probably move my own blog over to the server and cancel my webhosting plan. I am just not sure how much storage I will need and in case I will not see a difference in speed, I should probably go with the bigger storage

I have a RS 4000, RS 1000 and a couple of small VPS at Netcup. For storage space I use Hetzner Storagebox since Netcup is way too expensive. On the other side, if you need faster storage and interconnectivity, you can order Cloud vLan at Netcup to build your own Network within their Datacenter.
