ownCloud Infinite Scale, when it roles out. This sounds like it would solve the file-syncing problems I have with Nextcloud (slow, no delta sync, no selective sync).

Cloudron migration to new server: amazing!!!Just wanted to add to this thread too. I've moved servers about 5 times now. It happens so quickly and smoothly that I get to the end of the process and wonder if I'm really finished. So well done!

open-xchange - groupwareI just tried this out via a German email and cloud service called Mailbox and it's solid.
Address book and calendar configuration + sync are super quick and smooth; none of the address book formatting oddities or calendar glitches I've experienced in Nextcloud. File sync was equally fast and no fuss.
Web GUI has a bit of a corporate feel but it's clean with a good amount of white space.
The Mac and iOS apps work well but there's no Dropbox-like Smartsync "Local vs Online only" feature for the Mac. It has a form of selective sync but it wasn't behaving like I'm used to in Dropbox (turning off a folder still left the folder on my Mac? Maybe a bug).
Couldn't test 2FA without using my own domain.
All and all quite impressed.

JMAP@girish okay cool, thanks. Yeah JMAP is much more efficient and makes working with a lot of email on mobile devices significantly quicker. It's also meant to be easier to implement than IMAP/SMTP.
Fastmail wants to build protocols and data models on top of the core of JMAP for handling calendars and contacts sync too, replacing CardDAV, CalDAV and Websocket.
One modern open API for mail, calendars and contacts.

Asterisk PBX - Open Source VOIP IP-PBX ServerIf you added this could you include FreePBX?

JMAPWhat mail server does Cloudron use? Will JMAP be coming to it any time soon?

ownCloud Infinite ScaleSo I see ownCloud Infinite Scale was officially released last week:
https://owncloud.com/news/infinite-scale-release/
What does this mean for possible addition to the App Store?
-
Free cloud computing hosting@timconsidine great, okay thanks for that.
I ended up exploring Gandi's SOGo implementation, which comes with their email hosting, and it all seems to work well for calendars and address book now. It didn't when we first signed up.
So that's kind of solved my problem really!

OwnCloud?@imc67 keep an eye on this thread: https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/2457/owncloud-infinite-scale?_=1621875492434

Human Connection - social network for active citizenshipGood to see people having a go at redesigning social media. The pro & contra idea for interaction instead of comments is pretty cool. I've seen that working well on another site.

Backup size growing@girish ah yes, that makes sense. And recent ones are being deleted, yes. Thanks again.

Seafile - cloud storage platformNot sure how Seafile compares to Syncthing on the backend but Seafile's user interface looks infinitely easier to use. It also has file sharing, web browser and iOS support.
Compared to Nextcloud, Seafile provides delta sync, which Nextcloud doesn't.

Sogo calendar don't send invites@d19dotca said in Sogo calendar don't send invites:
@necrevistonnezr Semi-related and selfishly promoting my post here calling for a different DAV server app because SOgo isn't too great at that (has many limitations in using CalDAV and CardDAV in my experience) and Radicale while it works has stated it doesn't plan to incorporate the standard too closely, so I'd rather have a dedicated DAV server from one that wants to actually follow the specifications for those standards. Here's the post where I requested Sabre/Dav (but Baikal would be awesome too!): https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/2129/sabre-dav-caldav-and-carddav-server-alternative-to-radicale
Agreed. I find Nextcloud to be the best solution at the mo.
What I'm really looking forward to is being able to ditch CalDAV and CardDAV altogether and use JMAP.io instead.

Backup size growing@marcusquinn ha, okay thanks.
I've also just clocked that I was quoting Amazon instructions instead Backblaze! Just to add to the general confusion, lol.
I turned on Backblaze's Lifecycle Settings to use 'Keep only the last version of the file' and the bucket size has reduced, thanks
So this won't corrupt my rsync files then?

I want to run a Docker image@will said in I want to run a Docker image:
@christiaan For managing docker stuff outside of Cloudron, checkout Portainer and Docker-Compose. Those two things will make life a lot easier. DO would be my recommend, its what I did.
I just did some Cloud training with google, and wow, their GCP stuff is pretty awesome. May be worth a look (probably more expensive than DO)Good luck!
Okay great, thanks for the recommendations on both counts. Part of the reason I recently discovered the relevance of self-hosted cloud computing was because I was trying to figure out how to avoid using G Suite (mainly because of a reflexive dislike of some of Google's practices) but I really should give their cloud computing platform more consideration because there's no doubt their technology is great.
They also have a $300 free credit offer lasting for 12 months which helps.

Backup size growing@dylightful permanent fix
@girish no prob, thanks

I want to run a Docker image@will thanks will, I do have it running on a separate instance on DO, with the help of Portainer, but I haven't figured out yet how to get Portainer to use https. Plus I worry about being skilled enough to maintain it in production.
I wonder what the possibilities are of eventually getting it listed on Cloudron? It could potentially bring in some customers for Cloudron I guess.
It's a very lightweight file server developed by my CAD software developer, currently in testing for release later in the year. They've released a Docker image primarily to be used on NAS devices, but they're supportive of the way I'm implementing it too.
@nebulon if I can get this CAD developer to create and maintain a Cloudron-optimised Docker image on docker.io what are the chances of then getting it officially hosted on Cloudron?

Asterisk PBX - Open Source VOIP IP-PBX ServerJust spotted this post and this docker image.
