@nebulon, the docs say to edit the /app/data/rights file to configure permissions. This file did not exist, so I made one and placed it in the /app/data/ folder. However, it does not persist through a restart.

No they're normal calendars.

Yes, I was having this same problem with Big Sur. Seeing the problem was still there in Monterey actually prompted me to look into it more.

I ended up exploring Gandi's SOGo implementation, which comes with their email hosting, and it all seems to work well for calendars and address book now. It didn't when we first signed up.

So that's kind of solved my problem really!

@christiaan I submitted a new image to the marketplace. Will leave a note here when it gets approved. Sometimes it's immediate and sometimes it takes 2-3 days.

@christiaan on the free account, there is not much info we collect, so that is to be expected.

@christiaan On linode, if you are a new account, you can usually open a support ticket and explain your use case of email hosting to them and they usually unblock port 25.

got the same issue with one of my nextcloud's, even after removing the app, I could not restore the app to normal state, in the end, I noticed Circles app was throwing errors, disabled with

sudo -u www-data php occ app:list

sudo -u www-data php occ app:disable circles

@christiaan Yes, it's mostly harmless. https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/13556 is the bug upstream. Looks like they will fix it soonish (there is some recent activity).

My problem seems to stem from incorrectly thinking Nextcloud calendars and contacts use Push, but they use Fetch and the default schedule on Macs and iOS devices is 15 minutes.

We've pushed a package update just now to fix this.

@christiaan You can manually setup filters in SOGo, Rainloop, Roundcube, etc in Cloudron to do the exact same thing here. I can assist in a PM if you would like help setting this up.

Yeah, kind of being ignored a little bit. lol
AFAICS, JMAP does not seem to bring such great enhancements such as to shake the email servers industry, yet. That is very likely why there's seems to be not so much enthusiasm about this protocol. IMHO
