I think @james has been researching on the scope of the changes. AFAIK, the main blocker is SSO stops working now. So, maybe we need instructions on how to migrate from SSO to normal login. @james Thanks for explaining how to package how own version, that's really good to know in general! @shrey Just to say, I don't think the dev doesn't favour stable versions. Most versions are stable on the repo, it's just that there is major update coming (v1.0) and so they've released a few RC before release it stable, but that's pretty standard practice.

This got fixed after rebooting the server and repairing all apps. For some reason, the server ran out of file descriptors

@luckow Thanks for the recommendation! Although, in my case, i do need features that they consider as "Enterprise", example: API access. Also, Odoo Studio is not available on Self-hosted. Besides that, i've been seeing too much of mixed reviews regarding their support and pricing. So, not so sure about them.

@joseph btw, i ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the Keycloak app and this the process went about as depicted in your video.

Indeed those leftovers should have been purged. Maybe some bug somewhere then. Do you have a way to reproduce this?

The app package passed CI tests and is out by now.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful and encouraging response – that really means a lot. I also really like how you framed Cloudron’s own way of being open – that made me smile and actually made me think a bit deeper about what "openness" means in different contexts. You’re right: sometimes we overlook the tools right in front of us. Glad we could rediscover Matrix together – and yes, Zulip has strong merits too. I appreciate your balanced view.

So wildcard is only for subdomains of a domain. The domain.com record is not covered by wildcard. But yes the instructions probably sound like both *.domain.com and domain.com are in fact managed by Coudron, but all I can tell you that unless an app is using a domain, the certs will not be renewed. Maybe we can be smarter about this in the future, but to solve your problem this is what is required. Note a redirect to an existing app will also work.
