AFAIK, most VPS providers don't have this option. They are all in same partition when you get a server. Maybe one can do this on dedicated servers.

But also, Cloudron has various things in OS and home partition. So, this needs some testing to actually make it work/be useful.

Well if you look into the web inspector, you could just utilize the rest APIs just like the dashboard itself does. "New Apps" here is just defined as first published within last n days.

But the initial feature request was about a way to find new apps, which is what the menu item is about if I understood this correctly?

Alright, trying to strike a balance here, I moved Feature Requests up again, but I assume unless the forum supports a per-user order, this discussion is endless on personal perference 🙂

Could it be used as giant REFERRALS page? I've never ever used mine, though I think some others here have to great success.

@LoudLemur It all depends on your role between the apps/websites and the Cloudron instance. The moment you are a service provider for your customer and, let's say, you are only responsible for the initial installation and onboarding (the rest is up to your customer), that is my definition of own from the customer's point of view. He is fully responsible for all costs and responsibilities (aka super user).
Separate is a perspective from a service provider's point of view. You are responsible for the infrastructure and because of the "high traffic website" (in my example) you decided that you need a separate / dedicated VPS because of bandwidth, RAM or CPU.
Shared in my definition is a viable decision between cost and app usage. Most VPSs are powerful enough to run a lot of websites with low traffic. And if Cloudron's user/group management is appropriate for your use case, shared infrastructure is good for the cost and the environment.

Thanks for the input y'all. I did some further testing and found out something strange. When I change the CPU resources for each app, and it doesn't matter if I increase or decrease the resources and then checking the disk speed again it went up. Also wenn I stress test my website (did that with the siege command line tool) the disk speeds went up. Seems like Contabo does allocate resources when there is stress on the system and decrease resources when it's idling? So I could reach speeds of around 300 MB/s to 1 GB/s on SDA3. Same with SDA2.

I think I'll ignore the numbers for now as I don't feel there are real world problems on the VPS. And I guess if I really need to upscale performance for whatever reason I might switch to Hetzner or something else.

That's fine, other than Discourse it pretty RAM hungry. But yeah, I'm running multiple different discourse forums on different domains for different people.

@LoudLemur the only time I've ever had any issue with a Cloudron update the culprit was actually a bug in the linux kernel itself and not Cloudron's fault at all! It pretty much Just Works. That's why we all love it.

@LoudLemur I would not class Cloudron as developer tool.

@LoudLemur As @scooke mentioned, there is a blog about it, but the basic steps are the same. Difference here is opening the ports on your modem (or firewall) manually. The defaults are gonna be 25, 465, 587, 993, 443, & 80 (basic email and web server functionality) though according to that blog post, only 443 is required

On that, I don't have the data or experience to talk.
But 100% sure you can't use wasabi latency, I think smb or better NFS should be a better option, but I'm not an expert.
and Using so much ram for it, im not big fun about it, but I would have to try it before to have a real feedback

OK, I have fixed the unbound issue with IPv6. It's an upstream bug but I have made a workaround for the moment. Fix will be part of 7.3.5 (released next week).
