Hi everyone,

I’m running a split Cloudron environment and experiencing constant password prompts in Outlook (IMAP), even though the credentials are correct.

Setup:

Server A: Cloudron Mail Server

Server B: Cloudron User Management (LDAP)

The Issue:
Outlook frequently pops up a login window. It seems like the Mail Server is failing to verify credentials with the LDAP Server in time.

Questions:

Could this be a timeout issue during the LDAP lookup between the two servers?

Has anyone else faced "credential looping" with Outlook in a multi-server Cloudron setup?

Which specific logs should I check on Server A to confirm an LDAP handshake delay?

Would definitely love to see this get implemented though so we can control backups directly in Cloudron rather than needing to setup external software for that use-case. Using Cloudron directly to setup multiple backups (i.e. daily or twice daily to external disk, then a second backup once weekly to s3 object storage would be amazing).

I ran into an issue with a large Cloudron/Box installation where the backup aborts with this log entry:

… Upload progress: {"loaded":104878571520,"part":10002,…}
BoxError: backuptask exited with code 1
reason: “Internal Error”

Investigation
• Both AWS S3 and MinIO enforce a maximum of 10,000 parts per multipart upload.
• Default part size in Cloudron/Box is 10 MB → max transferable per upload ≈ 100 GB (10 000 × 10 MB).
• In my case part number 10 002 was attempted → limit exceeded → upload aborted.

Part Size vs. Maximum Backup Size

Part Size	Max Parts	Max Data Volume
10 MB	10 000	100 GB
50 MB	10 000	500 GB
100 MB	10 000	1 000 GB
150 MB	10 000	1 500 GB

Solution: Increase Part Size
This reduces the number of parts and allows backups up to ~500 GB without hitting the multipart limit.

FreeTAK UAS (FTUAS) is an Android application that can:

• Control any DJI drone supported by the current DJI SDK
• Stream the position of the drone to all the connected TAK clients
• Stream the video Feed to all the connected TAK clients
• Create a "target" on the map and stream with all the connected TAK clients

I came across the FreeTakServer project (https://github.com/FreeTAKTeam/FreeTakServer) and I'm wondering if it is possible to create this application as a custom app with Python3 in Docker. Has anyone had experience with this or can provide me with some guidance on how to implement it?

Alternatively, I am curious if it is possible to run the application in another environment such as LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). If so, what adjustments would be necessary?
