@girish Hi. I believe I am on: v6.3.5 (Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS). I actually got it working now using RSYNC instead of a Tarball. However, using RSYNC takes a long time so my question now is why the Tarball method doesn't work - there may be no temp folder to keep the zipped file I suspect, or something like that. My next question is what is the restore process - but I am not there yet. Thanks.

@girish Ahhh I see. Thankfully right now backups only take 3-4 hours. I'm hoping once I'm at gigabit I can speed that up. My network is definitely a bottleneck rn.

Good point... I checked if there is a way to say "only notify users subscribed to this post" when creating a new app update post but that option is not there on NodeBB. Looks like as @thetomester13 said, the onus is on the reader to actively "ignore" update posts.

@scooke Interesting. The certificate and the PTR record check shouldn't have anything to do with each other. The PTR record check is really just dig -x IPADDRESS . Can you try that say 10 times over the course of an hour with your VPS server IP and see if it's consistent? As for old certs, they are indeed preserved forever even if you remove the domain from Cloudron itself but the latest release will now clean up obsolete certs which are 6 months old.

@girish I think you need to shut this poster down, much like another earlier on (a year ago or so?). Their behaviour and attitude is beyond any measure of civility, no matter the reason. Please. I'd support any decision to even remove them completely and delete their comments. It's unbelievable.

This doesn't answer the question but the multi-server feature is intended to distribute the apps over multiple servers/nodes. The design is not for providing HA functionality.

@martinkbs This is very informative, thank you. Scaleway does seem cost-effective for those hosting in the EU (Hetzner, Scaleway, etc). Also, the glacier option looks interesting too.
