I recovered the backup and restarted the cloned app that I had deleted before the reboot. So the problem was not the reboot but the deletion.

It works. The database is accessible even if the application is stopped. This is quite confusing for me.

Maybe a warning should be added in the doc

The problem makes a lot of sense and I made a mistake, but I think other people can do the same.

I will take some time to fix it.

This was fixed some versions ago by implementing session based auth

Just wanted to say I've also hit just this issue. Cleaning up the nginx app config files did the trick but I wonder if this can be avoided in the future? Or may be it has already be addressed and I'm only hitting it because of some legacy stuff from previous Cloudron version? (this instance is currently running 7.5.0 but hasn't had a fresh install in a long while).

it's solved, it was a problem with resolv.conf. The DNS servers of my scaleway instance are not responding anymore ... 😞

@rmdes right, if you want external modules, we have to fix the package. The modules are hardcoded in the Dockerfile.

@jeau Oh I know the people who started it. The ocap features are what really attracted me to it, but once installed it was a big turnoff and disappointment.

After that I found Cloudron and never looked back.

What features do you find most interesting and usable?

This also bring up a few other thoughts, such as going through their app store and seeing what is useful to bring here. (Neos.io?)

Another thought is to make Sandstorm available as a container App within Cloudron.

There is also opportunity to learn from their architecture and implementation and enhance our own. (Borgify)

sorry @girish I should have read the Etherpad Cloudron app doc and also the Ownpad one, because I have to enable the detection of pad mimetype by NextCloud https://github.com/otetard/ownpad/#mimetype-detection.

In the terminal, I copied /app/code/resources/config/mimetypemapping.dist.json to /app/data/config/mimetypemapping.json

and then I added in this file pad'': ["application/x-ownpad"],

we could add this information to the Cloudron documentation of the NextCloud app, next time I'll read it 😉
