@marcusquinn Choosing IOPS based billing seems pretty extreme Well, to me anyway. I am not aware of an web application really paying attention to all this. Maybe system software like databases will pay attention and have regression tests for this but never web apps.

Actually, it seems a better way to confirm this is the apt package version and not the dovecot version. The latest one (i.e one which will be in next release) shows this: root@e4d2eb1cba0b:/app/haraka# apt list --installed 2>/dev/null | grep dovecot-core dovecot-core/bionic-updates,bionic-security,now 1:2.2.33.2-1ubuntu4.7 amd64 [installed] The current cloudron container has 1:2.2.33.2-1ubuntu4.6

@zjuhasz1 Right, this is also fixed. The packages were installed because we use apt without --no-install-recommends. You can remove those gnome packages by hand for now if it bothers you but it doesn't run any daemons, so it's mostly harmless.

@tx-hermit Ah, here's the explanation - https://serverfault.com/questions/1024770/ubuntu-20-04-time-sync-problems-and-possibly-incorrect-status-information . Uninstalling/disabling ntp service does the trick! I will make a fix for next release.

@necrevistonnezr I noticed the first time enabling it,it has to index each mailbox which takes time depending on how big they are. I am sure if you left it as-is for a bit it would have started on it's own. Glad it's working now

@girish Yes, it does appear to pass the correct credentials, and the function in question seems to give no error. I'll try to debug further on the app side, but for now I think we can just file this as an unexplained weird thing

I will probably have to update https://docs.cloudron.io/backups/#restore-cloudron with more information like @subven has written since it seems this is not very clear.

@nebulon The problem is fixed now. I was just not able to go in the AppStore view. It only showed the loading circle. And on settings, it told me to add a new cloudron.io account. The Cloudron was running for 1 month and all setup completed.

@girish my initial questions are all resolved now. I'm having some new problems though. Namely that it seems the Cloudron installer is installing Gnome which is making my server enter sleep mode. I disabled it now but I'm confused as to why Gnome is being installed.

@msbt SSH into your server and check if systemd-resolved is running

For restic, can you upvote here - https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/1575/backup-improvements-restic-backend ? It should be possible to add a new restic backend like tgz/rsync. Though, we still have to figure out how we can "support" it. But that's a separate topic.

@nebulon Probably not anytime soon. Nexus Bytes' minimum billing period is monthly, and I usually wait to see if they offer discounts before getting one.
